Over the years I’ve completed bookplate designs for my wife and her two sisters, culminating in this design for their mother, Lesley. Her being an admirer of French Chateaus,  I wanted to create a scene fit for a fairy tale.

Following that thread, the design was rendered using traditional pen drawing methods similar to those represented in many old illustrated story books. In the end, the design was made into a rubber stamp.
