Objective
Yondr Studio was approached by Dakine to create a textile pattern inspired by the landscapes and wildlife of the West Coast. The goal was to highlight each of the areas characteristic of this coast, ranging from Southern California to the Pacific Northwest, while conveying a sense of adventure throughout.
Solution
My approach to this objective was to render these scenes and animals in an aggressive, yet light hearted, manner so as to simultaniously convey the danger and enjoyment to be experienced in the great outdoors.
